Why do I have to give Read/Write privilege to network share for Intelli-Site?

The network share must be set up with Read/Write privilege, called "Full Control" under Windows XP, because the Workstation not only needs to read files in the share, it may also need to modify a file.  An example of this is the History.mdb.  This file is used by all Workstations to generate reports.  Also, in a redundant system, each Server needs to read, write, and delete files in the sister Server's share.
